Msoloni Outstation Marks a Decade of Faith On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Malindi, September 14, 2025 — On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Bishop Willybard Lagho presided over Mass at St. Francis of Assisi, Msoloni Outstation, as part of his pastoral visit to St. Charles Lwanga Parish, Muyeye. The Bishop led the faithful in a joyful celebration of the feast, which also marked the 10th anniversary of the outstation.
In his homily, the Bishop invited the faithful to transform complaints into prayer, assuring them that God listens even to the hidden burdens of the heart. He urged Christians to remain focused on their goal in Christ, reminding them that the cross sustains the journey of faith even in times of trial.
During the celebration, three infants were baptized, a sign of the community’s growth and vitality.
In the spirit of synodality, Bishop Lagho held a dialogue with the Parish Council, addressing questions and offering pastoral guidance.
The day concluded with a joyful sharing of pilau in keeping with coastal tradition, uniting the Bishop and the faithful in thanksgiving.
