RWB Companions Camp at Radio Kwizera

From the 24th–28th February 2026, the Blessed Rupert Mayer Jesuit Community, Ngara welcomed 10 Jesuits from the Rwanda-Burundi (RWB) Province—five from Kigali and five from Bujumbura—for a five-day Recollection and Vocations Promoters Workshop. 

During their stay, several reflection sessions were held where they shared updates on the progress of the newly established province, with a strong emphasis on promoting and nurturing new vocations. They reported that the province currently has 13 novices from different countries, a promising sign of the growth of Jesuit vocations in the region.

As part of their program, the group made a pastoral visit to Bukoba on 26th–27th February to strengthen collaboration and gain pastoral experience in the local context. The visit was reported to be fruitful and enriching.
