Entrepreneurship Training for Small Business Holders in Kangemi

In a significant step towards fostering self-reliance and sustainable development, the Jesuit Development Office organized a two-day Entrepreneurship Workshop for small business owners more especially women at St Joseph’s Technical Secondary School, Kangemi. This initiative aligns with the organization’s mission of empowering communities and creating lasting positive change where its offices are situated

Funded by the Irish Jesuits International, the Entrepreneurship Workshop aimed to equip local residents with essential skills and knowledge to establish and manage their businesses successfully. It covered various aspects of entrepreneurship, including business planning, financial management, marketing strategies and practical insights into establishing and sustaining a successful enterprise.

The Workshop was received with enthusiasm and active participation from the participants, reflecting the community’s eagerness to learn and create positive change in their businesses.

The program not only provided knowledge but also encouraged collaboration and networking among aspiring entrepreneurs, fostering a sense of community and mutual support.

The Jesuit Development Office, with the support of the Irish Jesuits International, has undertaken various other projects within the Kangemi Slum area. These initiatives encompass education, healthcare, and social welfare programs, all aimed at uplifting the community and enhancing the overall quality of life for its residents. We welcome this partnership with immense gratitude, which has made these initiatives possible. The impact of these efforts is already evident in the transformed lives and hopeful prospects of the residents of Kangemi Slum.
