It was on Saturday, December 14th, 2024, when everyone assembled in the community Chapel to witness the conferment of Minor Orders according to the document “Ministeria Quaedam by Pope Paul VI in 1973. The main celebrant was the President of JCAM, Rev. Fr. José Minaku, SJ. This solemn Mass, which started at 10:30 AM (West African Time), was concelebrated by Fr. Rector Flavien Nzolabi, SJ, and many other superiors of the various congregations whose scholastics were being instituted to these ministries.

There were 17 scholastics in first-year theology who were instituted as Lectors, of whom 12 were Jesuits. Additionally, 28 scholastics in second-year theology were instituted as Acolytes, with 18 of them being Jesuits. After the Eucharistic celebration, at 12 PM, we proceeded to the refectory for a common meal. You own was instituted as an Acolyte.
