New Contract for the Third Phase of the School's Construction

By Linus Tigiti, SJ

Greetings from Bonga, where the spirit of Christmas is alive and vibrant! As we join the local community in celebrating the Ethiopian Christmas, we reflect on the season of hope and renewal—a time when we step forward with renewed purpose. This year, our celebrations have been especially meaningful as we mark a new chapter in the construction of the school project.

In the celebratory spirit of Christmas, we reached a significant milestone with the signing of the contract for the construction of 12 new classrooms. This development features two blocks: one a ground floor and an upper level (G+1), and the other a single-story block (G+0). These additions go beyond mere structures; they symbolize our dedication to enhancing educational opportunities within our community.

A Growing Vision: Increased Capacity for the Future

With this new expansion, the school’s capacity will grow dramatically, accommodating up to 720 students. This leap forward will provide a space for many more young minds to flourish and receive a quality education. We believe that every student deserves the best start in life, and with this new infrastructure, we are opening doors to brighter futures. The construction of these classrooms marks a key step in our long-term vision of creating a thriving, inclusive educational environment. As we continue to build, we are not only adding classrooms but also nurturing a community where education is at the heart of progress.
