Strengthening Collaboration Between Franciscan Brothers and Proposed Hekima University

December 5, 2024, marked a significant milestone in the growing partnership between the Franciscan Brothers, who run Baraka Agricultural College (BAC), and the Proposed Hekima University (PHU). A delegation from PHU, comprising Elias Mokua, Odomaro Mubangizi, Kway Gerald, Chris Mapunda, and Silas Kemboi Kipkorir, met with the Franciscan Brothers, represented by their Superior General, his Council, and several Brothers working at BAC.
The meeting, held at the Franciscan generalized at BAC in Molo, focused on enhancing collaboration and mutual support between the two institutions. Although specific details of the discussions remain undisclosed, the primary agenda centered on advancing their shared mission of providing quality and innovative education to disadvantaged youth. Both parties reaffirmed their dedication to pooling their competencies and resources to achieve this goal.
The meeting was characterized by a spirit of positivity and generosity, with both sides appreciating the collaborative energy demonstrated thus far. Discussions included identifying additional areas of partnership and taking concrete steps to operationalize these plans.
Baraka Agricultural College Graduation
On December 6, 2024, BAC will host its graduation ceremony, with approximately 85 students set to receive Diplomas and Certificates in Sustainable Agriculture. Members of the Jesuit Paul Miki Community in Molo will attend the event, symbolizing solidarity and support for BAC’s mission.
