Work Smarter, not harder: Relief for Teachers as LCMC Introduces AI-Assisted Tools for Educators

In a bid to revolutionize the teaching landscape and mitigate the burdens on educators, the Loyola Centre for Media and Communications (LCMC) hosted an AI training session for teachers on Friday, February 29, 2024. The training aimed to equip teachers with cutting-edge AI tools to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and productivity of their teaching endeavors. Teachers from various educational institutions converged at LCMC to participate in the training, eager to explore the potential benefits that AI technology could offer in the realm of education. Led by experienced trainers, the session delved into a diverse array of AI-assisted tools tailored specifically for educators. Led by Joy Kesenwa (LCMC Programs manager) and Teresia Muia (LCMC Assistant Projects officer), the session covered AI solutions for streamlining workflows, optimizing content creation, and improving classroom management. These tools enable automation of tasks, personalized learning experiences, and more accurate assessment. “I appreciate the fact that you try to make the training interesting, your patience in teaching and the fact that you have ready handouts to guide us after the training.” Said Fr. Peter John, one of the participants.
