Loyola Centre for Media and Communications (LCMC) collaborated with Saint John Paul II Primary School in Nyahururu for a three-day empowerment program from October 17th to 19th, 2024. The program introduced more than 120 students to Artificial Intelligence (AI), with the goal of personalizing their learning and enhancing academic outcomes.
During the program, students were introduced to various AI-assisted tools designed to enhance classroom content creation, streamline research, and incorporate fun into learning. Interactive AI games also helped foster teamwork and collaboration among the young learners.
As the program concluded, the pupils proudly received certificates of completion. The excitement in the air was tangible, with many students expressing how AI would transform their educational journey. One student enthusiastically shared, “This training has changed everything for me. From now on, AI will be my guide and learning will be more fun.”
This AI training program, launched by LCMC last year, has already empowered a diverse group of participants, including religious leaders, organizations, and teachers. Looking ahead, LCMC aims to reach more children both in schools and during holidays, expanding its mission to prepare the next generation for the digital age.
