LCMC Launches Premier Courses in Media, Children, and Strategic Leadership

By Cynthia Khanijiri

The Loyola Centre for Media and Communications (LCMC) hosted a milestone event on 25th March 2026, bringing together key stakeholders and partners to celebrate ongoing collaborations and officially launch its premier courses in Media, Children and Identity Formation, and Management Communication.

The event brought together over 30 stakeholders, among them representatives from SOS Children’s Villages, DKA Austria, the Loreto Sisters, the Jesuits Eastern Africa Province (AOR), and the Jesuit Development Office, alongside other key partners and collaborators.

The event served as both a celebration of LCMC’s valued partnerships and a strategic platform for dialogue on the evolving digital landscape. Conversations centered on the impact of media and technology on young people, identity formation, and leadership in an increasingly complex world.

Participants engaged in insightful sessions led by LCMC facilitators and partners, exploring themes such as artificial intelligence and the digital world of the child, spiritual formation in the digital age, and strategic communication for leaders. These sessions not only highlighted emerging challenges but also provided practical pathways for nurturing responsible digital citizens and values-driven leadership.

The engagement further underscored the critical role of partnerships in scaling sustainable solutions and strengthening mission-driven communication. Stakeholders were also introduced to opportunities for deeper collaboration through LCMC’s newly launched programs.

The event concluded with a strong call to commitment, as partners reaffirmed a shared vision of empowering communities through media, ethical leadership, and child-centered approaches in the digital age.
