Greetings from Baraka Farm – the Land of Plenty!
As the weather warms up, and some of us are now able to enjoy T-shirts and open shoes, our hopes and plans are starting to take shape. If this momentum continues, Miki-Molo may soon become a sought-after destination—especially for those seeking to unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Last weekend, we had the privilege of hosting some friends who came to see how we were settling into our new mission. Their presence filled our hearts and community with warmth and joy. I am sure even the passersby, neighbors, and perhaps even the insects, wondered what kind of celebration we were having! We shared hearty laughter around the table and the fire, and before we knew it, the weekend had flown by, leaving us with cherished memories.
One outdoor activity we have at Miki-Molo is to take first-time visitors on a walk up Jesuit Hill (or “The Jes”). While climbing, we ask them to pick the spot where they think a Jesuit house should be built. Our three visitors—Kendy, Caro, and Ann—surprisingly all chose the same location. I won’t reveal it just yet, as the jury is still out. But rest assured, we’ll let you know soon!
