Inspiration of Pastoral Ministry in Action
By Sajilo Julius Mark, SJ
Dear friends in the Lord, it has been a while since I wrote in this forum, it is very inspiring now to write since there is plenty of news around this place where I am. I believe that we are all doing well in our respective apostolates and missions wherever we are. With God’s grace I am in my new mission here at Saint Francis Xavier Parish at Nyakahoja in Mwanza also known as Rock City. It is such a beautiful Parish. I am slowly getting accustomed with the Parish work and the companions are helping me to learn how to be in a Parish. The Parish Priest Fr. Edward Rwimo, SJ is very supportive, and Fr. Leo, SJ Amani the assistant Parish Priest are doing a wonderful job here. The Jesuit community comprises of two priests three of our scholastics who are studying at Bugando and myself the newest member of this community a total of six members. Otherwise a lot is going on here at the Parish, four Masses each Sunday, masses on Saturdays in the morning and in the evening and also in the small Christian communities. The Youth center project at Igombe which is an Initiative of the Jesuit community under the leadership of Fr. Edward Rwimo, SJ a.k.a “Chezea wewe” is going on very well at Igombe where the property is located just at the shores of Lake Victoria. It is such a wonderful place for recreation retreat, seminars and holidays even wedding ceremonies. The place is beautiful and fascinating indeed. If at all you want to relax and have your holidays come to Igombe and rest it is an amazing place. I don’t want to say only words but I am attaching some good supporting data with some photos so that you can see for yourselves. Otherwise we had Deacon Nahum Osman, SJ who visited us here; he came from Dar-Es-Salaam stayed with us for few days and he went to Ngara for his holidays. Many greetings from the Companions and we welcome you to Rock City.
