Our parish was privileged to hold the mass during the peak of “Mwenge wa uhuru” as Tanzania celebrated 25 years since the demise of the first president Julius Kambarage Nyerere. The event was graced by the presence of the president of the united republic of Tanzania together with top government officials. The mass was celebrated by the Archbishop of Mwanza Archdiocese and in attendance was the bishop of Bunda. It was a great and enjoyable day as the parish hosted the mass and the bishop really challenged the government officials to not only think about their personal needs and benefits but to also be considerate of the people’s pleas and needs. The day was magnificent and a successful one. Thanks be to God. On the other hand, the pastoral activities at the parish level are going on well this includes teaching catechism in schools. Recently we had mass to pray for the form four candidates who will be sitting for their national examinations next month. The mass went hand in hand with awarding of certificates to form four students who did their religious education examination and excelled. The mass was celebrated by the   parish Priest Fr. Edward Rwimo, SJ.  Regards from Companions.
