Arrival of the Novi
By Timothy Kioko, nSJ

It was great moment for the members of Gonzaga Gonza Jesuit Novitiate Community to receive 21 “Novi” who joined he Novitiate on 31st May 2024 and are now undergoing their fourteen-day First Probation. Out of these twenty-one, eighteen of them are for AOR and three are for SAP.  They were welcomed by cutting of a cake ceremony that evening and planting of a “vocation tree” sapling the following day, as a reminder to them that they ought to take care of the sapling to remind them of the growth in their vocation.

Meet a Jesuit Session

The community was happy to host Fr. Gasper Sunwa, SJ from Nairobi. As it is customary here, he met the Novices for the “Meet the Jesuit Session” inspiring the novices words of wisdom and inspiration. It was a great moment for the newcomers to experience this session for the first time in the novitiate.
