Champions of School Environment Care
At St Joseph Technical Secondary School and Upendo Unit, the environment club is committed to fostering well-rounded students. One of the ways we achieve this is through our clean and green school initiative. This program not only creates a positive learning environment, but it also imparts important lessons about responsibility and sustainability.
Through active participation in environmental conservation, our students learn essential life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and leadership. They become ambassadors of environmental stewardship in their communities, inspiring others to join the cause.
We believe that by instilling these values in our students, we are preparing them to be successful individuals who can make a positive impact on the world around them.
From Beneficiary to Benefactor
In a touching demonstration of gratitude and a deep commitment to making a positive impact, a former beneficiary of the Upendo Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) program made a generous donation of a printing machine, toners, and printing papers and promised to service it for next two years.
This act of kindness not only underscored the remarkable influence that the Upendo program has on the lives of vulnerable children but also exemplified the sense of community and empowerment that it instills in its beneficiaries.
Commemorating the guiding lights
Every year on October 5th, the world takes a moment to thank those who create our futures with knowledge, advice and unrelenting dedication. World Teachers’ Day serves as a poignant reminder of teachers’ essential contributions to the society.
At St. Joseph Technical Secondary School and the Upendo Unit, this day was a wonderful celebration of the teacher’s enduring commitment to cultivating the potential within each student. It reaffirmed the conviction that teaching is not just a job, but a calling, which they answer it with devotion.
