As the academic year draws to a close, students and pupils at St. Joseph Technical Secondary School and Upendo Unit are demonstrating their knowledge, skills, and hard work in the end-of-term 3 exams and assessments which kicked off on Monday, 16 October 2023. These crucial evaluations mark the culmination of an academic journey filled with learning, growth, and dedication.

St. Joseph Technical Secondary School's Weekly Traditional Mass offers Blessings and inspiration for Candidates in the upcoming KCSE Exams

St. Joseph Secondary School students, teachers, and staff gathered for their weekly traditional mass on Wednesday, 18 October 2023. This particular mass was dedicated to offering prayers and blessings to Form Students who are about to take their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams. For the candidates, the Mass, delivered by the revered Fr. James Mugwe, SJ and Deacon Francis, SJ was a time of meditation, inspiration, and encouragement.

In his sermon, Deacon Francis, SJ emphasized how St. Luke’s openness to learning and his unwavering faith in God’s guidance led to his invaluable contributions to the New Testament, encouraging the students to embrace a similar attitude of curiosity and open-mindedness in their studies.

Deacon Francis, SJ also reminded the candidates that while academic success is important, it should not come at the expense of their character, values, or spirituality. As the mass continued, Deacon Francis, SJ addressed the candidates directly, urging them to approach their forthcoming national exams with courage and determination.

A Heartfelt send off

On the evening of Wednesday, October 18, 2023, St. Joseph Secondary School hosted a farewell party for its Form Four candidates who are set to face the upcoming national examinations. The event was a moment to celebrate their hard work, dedication, and the journey that has brought them to this pivotal juncture in their academic lives.

As speeches were made, anecdotes shared, and well-wishes exchanged, there was a strong sense of pride in the room. It was a moment of reflection on the knowledge gained, the challenges overcome, and the friendships that will endure beyond this chapter of their lives.

With hearts full of hope and determination, the Form Four candidates left the party, embarking on their final preparations for the national examinations. They carry with them the support and well-wishes of the school community, knowing that they are well-prepared to face the challenges that lie ahead.
