St. Joseph Development Programmes Embarks on a New Chapter in 2024

The St. Joseph Development Programmes has resumed its normal operations for the year 2024, igniting a spark of hope and optimism among the students and staff from its diverse Programmes.
The gates of St. Joseph swung open on Monday, 9th January, welcoming back students from the Upendo OVC Educational Centre, the Technical and the Secondary wing after a two-month break.
The first term unfolds as a canvas of possibilities, where knowledge will intertwine with ambitions and the pursuit of excellence will become the guiding principle. During the year, the Organization’s commitment to holistic development will be evident in the seamless blend of academic rigor, extracurricular activities and a nurturing environment that will encourage students to explore their potential.
St. Joseph Development Programmes has not only been a place of learning, but a beacon of hope, shaping the destinies of its students, youths and vulnerable adults in the Kangemi Slums. With each step into the new academic term, the institution reaffirms its commitment to fostering growth, knowledge and a brighter tomorrow.
St Joseph Secondary School performance in KCSE 2023
St. Joseph Secondary School witnessed an outstanding performance in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations for the class of 2023. The exam that officially kicked off on 23 October 2023, reached its pinnacle as the results unfolded, showcasing a commendable improvement in performance.
The 26 candidates who sat for the exam collectively achieved a mean grade of 5.62127. This marked an uplifting advancement from the previous year’s mean of 5.45909, reflecting a positive deviation of 0.16218. Notably, the results unveiled a diverse spectrum of achievements, with one student securing a B+, two attaining a B plain, and one achieving a B-. Two students earned a C+, four scored C plain while 10 had a C- respectively. Six students garnered D+ grades.

Impressively, six subjects contributed to a positive deviation, including Kiswahili, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Business Studies and Geography.
A noteworthy addition to the 2023 results was the inclusion of French examinations, with one student securing an outstanding mean grade of A. The overall subject mean of B (9points), is a testament to the comprehensive excellence exhibited by the French, class of 2023.
