By Edward Musungu

The Upendo Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Programme is delighted by the announcement of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) Class of 2023 results. Our programme, which is dedicated to supporting orphans and vulnerable children, takes great pride in the accomplishments of our primary school students. At St. Joseph Nursery and Primary School in Kangemi, 15 students from our programme showcased exemplary performance. We are especially proud to highlight that one of our students ranked as the second top student in the school with an impressive score of 376 marks.

Among these 15 students, 10 achieved outstanding scores of 300 marks and above, while 4 received commendable marks ranging from 250 and above. Only one student received a score below 250. This remarkable achievement reflects an overall mean score of an impressive 317 for these students.

With a total enrollment of 86 students in our programme at St Joseph Nursery and Primary School in different levels, this accomplishment not only brings immense pride to Upendo but also has a positive impact on the entire community. It serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment of our team in nurturing and empowering these children, resulting in exceptional academic performance within the context of the 8-4-4 curriculum.

We extend our wholehearted congratulations to these outstanding students for their remarkable dedication and hard work. Their success stands as a powerful example of how the Upendo OVC Programme can bring about positive change in the lives of deserving vulnerable children.
