Welcoming New Members into the Catholic Faith
By Abel Ogonah, SJ
In a moment of spiritual joy, St. Peter Claver High School recently celebrated the baptism of four students on 13th October, while 28 students received the Sacrament of Confirmation on 17th October 2024. The candidates, who were well-prepared by the Campus Ministry under the leadership of Sr. Vincent Wanjiru, FSSA, eagerly awaited the Holy Spirit’s blessing as they marked these significant milestones in their faith journeys.
Dressed in their finest attire, the students participated in the confirmation ceremony, which was presided over by Rt. Rev. Wilbroad Henry Kibozi, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Dodoma. In his homily, Bishop Kibozi urged the newly confirmed to make diligent and charitable use of the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. He also commended St. Peter Claver High School for its outstanding efforts in teaching and formation and encouraged parents and guardians to consider the school for their children’s education and spiritual growth, recognizing the valuable impact of its holistic formation program.
Through these meaningful events, St. Peter Claver High School continues to live out its mission, nurturing well-rounded, responsible individuals who are ready to serve their communities and the world.
