Celebrating the Double Jubilee by Planting Trees

The Jesuit Development Office (JDO), in collaboration with the National Bank of Kenya – Gigiri Branch, recently carried out a tree planting activity, during which more than 300 tree seedlings were planted across three schools in Nairobi: Kangemi Primary School, Uthiru Primary School, and Uthiru Girls High School.
The activity was further enriched by the participation of students from the recently concluded Global Education Immersion Programme (GEIP), which brought together learners from St. Joseph Technical Secondary School (Kangemi) and Clongowes Wood College, SJ in Ireland through a collaboration facilitated by JDO. It was a deeply engaging and mission-aligned experience, uniting young people in a shared commitment to care for our common home.
The timing of this initiative was providential, aligning well with the spirit of the Jubilee and the call to ecological responsibility.
