LCMC: Visualizing Beyond the Present
By Ms. Teresia Muia
What does it mean to truly prepare for the future of young people in a rapidly changing world? This question took center stage on 22nd April 2026, as the Loyola Centre for Media and Communications (LCMC) brought together about 20 key stakeholders for a dynamic Demo Day experience.
From representatives of the Teachers Service Commission to the National Police Service and other key partners, the room reflected a shared urgency on how to responsibly guide Gen Z in the workplace and Gen Alpha in an increasingly digital society.
Rather than simply discussing the challenge, LCMC demonstrated practical solutions.
Through its core program areas; Children, Media and Identity Formation; Management Communication and AI and Digital Literacy, the LCMC team showcased how institutions can be equipped to nurture responsible, self-aware, and digitally competent young people.
The Demo Day was not just a presentation, but a clear signal of readiness. LCMC affirmed its role as a forward-looking partner, committed to empowering those who directly shape the lives of children, teenagers, and young people.
In doing so exercise, the Centre brought its motto to life; “Visualizing beyond the present,” not as an idea, but as a call to action for institutions to move from awareness to preparedness.
