NEWS EDITION

Greetings from Wau. At this corner of the world, the temperatures are high these days. The sun is hotter in the day and dusty and, at the night it is the same, it is so hot. But even with that we have plenty of good news coming from the apostolate in Wau. A lot of hard work is happening here and a lot of sacrifice is required. On Friday we received three visitors and the enthusiastic manner they got into life in Wau and particularly in the school environment is amazing. Mr. Tim is taking classes for the adults (in the Adult Literacy program), and other two Ms. Irish Macdonald and Sr. Cecilia are on the go in the Technical department particularly tailoring packed with amazing work throughout the day.  They joined Sr. Pfavy, FMSA who works in the tailoring department.

On Ash Wednesday, we had our Mass in the School Multipurpose Hall. The whole school particularly the students’ body participated actively. This year Wau is different in the fact that it is a Eucharistic year launched since last November 2023, and the Diocese asked the Church institutions to create some spiritual activities to help people get closer to the Eucharist and get to understand it. So in Loyola, celebrating the Eucharist with the students is one of those moments which may help to impact their life by getting them closer to their Creator. There are so many other activities in the same line to prepare and help them in their spiritual journey like preparation to receive the Sacraments, school choir and other spiritual groups.

We are entering into the third week since the school fully opened on the 5th this month of February. The school activities are smoothly running.
